Dorothy's House and the Land of Oz

The Seward County Coronado Museum was established in 1961 through the efforts of four Liberal Businessmen. The museum features items that helped to settle the territory during its Wild West heyday, including an extensive weapons display, and a large collection of other home furnishings.

Also included on the grounds are the Dorothy's house and Land of Oz exhibits. Founded in 1981 the exhibit includes a life size house that was moved to the grounds and remodeled into a replica of Dorothy's house, the site was later recognized as the official home of Dorothy Gale by Kansas Governor John Carlin.

Visitors can also visit the 5000 square foot animated journey through the movie. The exhibit was originally created and displayed in Topeka, but the attraction e\was moved to Liberal by its creator Linda Windler
